DHIA milk analysis is performed in Ithaca, New York. The state-of-the-art laboratory tests milk samples for fat, protein, somatic cell count (SCC) and milk urea nitrogen (MUN).


Milk analysis is performed with Milkoscan/Fossomatic equipment. The Milkoscan uses Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) technology for the determination of milk components. Parameters are as follows:

The Fossomatic uses Flow Cytometry for determination of somatic cells in milk.
