To Test or Not to Test…The Big Hay Question
On the Scoop & Scale podcast, the co-hosts cover the many aspects of building the right feed program for a horse. They met with Cassy Streeter, from our Equi-Analytical team, to talk about hay testing. In this episode, they discuss collecting hay samples, what hay can be tested for, and what to do with report data. Horse owners and veterinarians can use this information the next time they review a horse’s eating habits and build a better feed plan for the horse.
The Humble Hoof podcast invited Ellington King of Equi-Analytical to speak about hay testing. This episode gives advice on how to collect a hay sample, what happens in the lab with a hay sample, and the impact on horse hoof health.
Okay, this isn’t a podcast, but you can listen to it! Equi-Analytical partnered with FeedXL to talk about testing horse hay and feed, and then what to do with those results. It’s a great little introduction into how to collect and submit a sample, and then how to use the data generated to make a diet for your horse.
