The Penn State hay probe is the gold standard of hay samplers. Essential for the proper sampling of hay, the stainless steel probe is the best way to obtain a representative subsample from individual bales. The probe is 18 inches long and takes an unbiased cross-sectional core sample as it’s drilled into the bale. The sharp, serrated tip cuts smoothly through the hay. Using a hay probe is the only true way to sample hay and insure the accuracy of your results. Requires 18V cordless or electric drill (drill not included).
